Creamy Mac and Cheese

Homemade macaroni and cheese is so simple to make. I make my grandma's recipe with real cheese and it is my favorite. This creamy recipe is spectacularly delicious and a close second.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta shells cooked and drained I like to mix shells and another type of noodle
  • 4 tbl butter
  • 3 tbl flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 block Velveeta Cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Boil noodles according to their package. Drain and set aside. In a nice sized pot melt butter over medium heat. Slowly add flour until combined. It will be a little clumpy. Slowly whisk in 2 cups of milk until mixture is smooth. Add in the 1/2 block of Velveeta cheese cubed. Stir until all cheese is melted. Add in noodles and combine until noodles are covered in cheese sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. It is ready to serve.
    You can place this in a dish and keep warm to serve later or serve it right from the stove top.
