Strawberry Pie
Grandma Cathers is the woman who taught me how to make pie. We would pick the berries and then make pie together. Summer started this way every year. The pie tasted good but the memories are the sweetest.

Ingredients
- 2 cups strawberries washed and crushed
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 heaping tbsp cornstarch
- 1 baked pie shell
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan on the stove. Cook them over a medium heat until thick.
- Let the mixture cool
- Fill the baked pie shell with raw sliced berries. Cover your berries with your cooled crushed berry mixture.
- Serve with whipped cream.
