Sausage Casserole

This has been a Christmas tradition in our house ever since I can remember. We make this often when guest come to stay or if we have a lazy morning. You can make this a few days ahead and it has never disappoints. You can also double this recipe to serve a crowd. It is an easy dish that never has leftovers. .

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage I like to use a zesty sausage
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup Bisquick You can use an off brand mix too
  • 2.5 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  • Brown sausage and pour into a 9×13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle the cheese over the sausage. In a bowl beat eggs, add in milk and Bisquick then mix. The batter will be a bit lumpy, don't worry. Pour this mixture over the sausage and cheese. Cover with foil and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown.
