Pistachio Dessert

Like lots of my recipes they come passed down from family. I am from a long line of amazing cooks. My Grandma is really the heart of why I love to cook. She cooked and baked with me from a very young age. She is the one who sparked my love of food and preparing it for others. Food brings us all around the table and being around the table together is so important. This is one of my Grandma's favorite desserts. It's different and it is always a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 stick room temperature butter

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 1 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 cup confectioner sugar
  • 1 cup cool whip

Pistachio Pudding

  • 2 boxes Pistachio Instant Pudding
  • 3 cups milk

Instructions

  • Mix together the chopped nuts, flour and butter. Press in the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool
  • Beat together the cream cheese and confectioner sugar. Fold in 1 cup of cool whip and spread on the baked crust layer.
  • Mix together the pudding and milk. Pour on top of the cream cheese layer.
  • Put remaining cool whip on and sprinkle with nuts on top. Refrigerate and serve.
