Linda’s Beans

You will never buy canned baked beans again. This really could be the main event for your meal, but I always serve it as a side. I sometimes substitute BBQ sauce for the ketchup. This is so full of flavor and it has BACON in it, so how could it be bad.

Ingredients

  • 1 16 ounce Can of pork and beans
  • 1 16 ounce Can of butter beans
  • 1 16 ounce Can of kidney beans
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 small Onion chopped
  • 1 pound Bacon
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup or BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Dry Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Vinegar

Instructions

  • Drain and pour pork and beans, butter beans and kidney beans into a 9×13 casserole dish. Brown ground beef and onion. Add to the casserole. Fry bacon crumble and mix with ketchup, brown sugar, dry mustard and vinegar. Then add to casserole. Stir everything together. 
    Bake covered at 325 for 1 hour and 30 minutes
